The press moulding technique allows a maker to produce forms quickly, subsequently freeing up their making by promoting experimentation of forms and decorating techniques.
What we will cover:
PLASTER MOULDS
What are they/how do they work/the headache of undercuts/how to produce a piece for casting/how to make a mould from start to finish.
PRESS MOULDING
How to use your plaster mould/adding texture to the mould/addition of coiling and slab building to your form/cutting and altering/joining multiple pieces/adding elements like handles and spouts etc
DECORATION
Carving/modelling/stamps/impressing/sprig decoration/piercing/piping/slip decoration/printing/wax resist/oxides/glazes- the list is endless!
